SECTION l—Tho MFSW-tl Motif-Function Switch host may be made to operate
with the following lock functions:
' FUNCI'ION'A—Z key polls 12:00 and 3:00 (See Fig. A)
FUNCTION B—Mornentary switoh contact {on} with key spring back—key
. removable at 12:00 (See Fig. Bl
FUNC‘HON C—t key pull at 12:00 (See Fig. 8)
SECTION Il—Electrloal Switch Connections:
A. Two Wire Connection _ _
' For "off" at 12:00, “on” at 3:00. use red and white leads only.
For "off" at 3:00, “on“_ at 12:00, use red and black leads only.
8. Three Wire Connection
All three leads may be used to connect swit¢h to two different circuits—one
"on" while the other one is "off" —-see wiring diagram below:

A. Lock has been preassembled at factory to operate as “Functioni lock (See
See. it. To change function first disassemble look as follows: (Note; To
reassemble as a ~"Fiinotion A" took see Section lit 0). ?:T;s%;g'im

2. Disassemble switch assembly at book and of look by pushing in on it and
turning it in counter-clockwise direction, then tilt it out. m
3. Remove actuator, torsion spring, and cam stop plate. IE! _ $1.?“

1. Disassemble look as explained in Section Ill A. rovsni (Fm. Cf Fla bl 1” LEOGE “'0' E}
'2. Insert key. into lock and turn to 6;00 posnion (See Fig. A). remove kay.
3. Assemble switch to 2 piece housing as shown in Fig. C, then put
assembly aside temporarily
4 Turn leek face down and insert cam stop plate as shown in Fig. D (Make
Sure stop surface is the one near centerline of double 0 hole flats}. A tong
nose pliers is recommended for ease of insertion of cam slop plate.
5. Assemble foreion spring Onto double flat end of actuator as Shown in Fig. E.
'6. insert actuatortspring assembly into lock making certain that "l-iOOKED [HQ 6, 6.1, ~
END" of torsion spring is to the right of stop in pin (See Fig. Ft.
7'. Push amuator down with finger or pencil eraser and {See Fig. H) for loca-

actuator is seated correctly you should feel a light spring presswet.
8. Maintain the position of actuator on spindle by plating a small screw
driver or similar flat tom through side SIC)! in look shell (See Fig. Ji.
9. Take assembled switch assembly and line up switch astuatOr button with
arrow on Slde of shell (See Fig. Ki. Insert switph assembly into slots in
look shell pushing down until it makes centact with holding tool. Remove
holding tool and white pushing down rotate swrlch assembly "CLOCK-
WlSE" as far as it will go (approximately 30?): release pressure allowing
switch assembly to pop up into slots and seat itself. Lock will
now function sis-"Momentary Spring-Back." (Note: It took does not func-
tion as momentary. reassemble from Step 6 and be sure to locate spring
leg to right of stop pin {See Fig. F). -
C. To reassemble as a “Function C" lock‘lSee Sec. 1)
perform the following strips:‘
1. Disassemble look as explained-in Section lit A.
2. Insert key into lock and turn to 1200 position (See Fig. Bl. Remove key.
3-5 Same as 3-5 in Section III B.
6. Place the hooked end of the torsion spring to the left of the stop~pin 50 *5 NOT To

1 . Disassemble lock as explained in Section III A. ' ~ .
2 . Insert key into took and turn to 12.00 position {See Fig. A). Ftemove key.
